Tell me, what are Teeth Veneers?
Teeth veneers will give you a natural looking smile and greatly improve the appearance and brightness of damaged or chipped teeth.
The veneers are produced from thin ceramic 'shells' which are bonded onto your teeth by our experienced dentists. The translucent nature of the ceramic veneers will allow a marked improvement to your own natural teeth. The ceramic veneers will take care of any broken/cracked teeth or gaps you may have. And any flaw in the alignment of your own teeth will be greatly improved. The colour of your teeth will be whiter and brighter... yellow teeth will be a distant memory.
We will arrange for a consultation with one of our highly trained cosmetic practitioners... experienced dentists who have carried out these procedures to the satisfaction of many of our patients.
The initial consultation with our qualified cosmetic dentists allows us to ascertain how we can correct your damaged, or misaligned teeth by replacing them with porcelain veneers. This will result in you having the dental veneers just as you'd like them while at the same time, aesthetically improving your smile.
We work with highly skilled dental laboratory technicians who will design your new veneers using the information we gleaned from our in depth consultation with you. They will produce your veneers to the shape, colour and size, exactly as agreed.
Following on from your initial consultation, a formal dental plan will be prepared for your procedure, and preparations will be made for the production of your veneers in Glasgow.

Our dentists will then explain and agree with you the procedures, along with a breakdown of the timescales and how many appointments will be required. We take pride in keeping you fully informed of the progress at all times.
The initial part of your treatment requires a mould to be made of your mouth. This is then sent to our laboratory for production of your veneers. Before making the mould, your natural teeth will require to be buffed down a little. This procedure is entirely painless. But it is required to ensure that the veneers can be placed without adding an extra layer to the thickness of your own teeth, which would dramatically alter their appearance. Our aim is to improve on your natural teeth, not to radically change the look of your mouth.
In the weeks while your new porcelain veneers are being crafted, we will supply you with temporary veneers. This will have the added benefit of allowing you time to get used the difference in your teeth and in your mouth.
How Much Do Dental Veneers Cost?
Because every patient is unique, it is impossible to give a flat cost for dental veneer treatment. When you come in for your consultation, we will be able to give you advice about the prices and payment options that are available.
We understand that every patient's financial circumstances are different and we do not put pressure on our patients to opt for treatments that they cannot afford. We will give you honest advice about the costs and alternative treatment options so that you can make an informed decision with no obligations.
Cheap Teeth Veneers
Be wary of clinics abroad that offer very cheap fixed prices for veneers. The standards of hygiene and clinical proficiency may not be the same as those that are required in the UK.
At Tweedsmuir Dental Care, patients have had to come to us for emergency repair work after visiting disreputable clinics abroad. The old adage holds, if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.
How Do I Clean my Veneers?
Regular brushing with a good quality toothbrush and toothpaste and additional flossing, is all that is required to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
This is no different after the application of porcelain veneers. You look after them exactly as you would natural teeth. It might take a little while to get used to your new veneers but over time, they will come to almost forget you have them at all... apart from the added improvement to your smile!
