Anjali Chawla BDS FDRCS (Eng)
Anjali qualified from University of Glasgow in 1990 and undertook 3 further years of training in oral surgery. Gained a fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993. She has been working for Tweedsmuir since 2013 where she carries out general dentistry and continues to develop her interest in dental implantology and other oral surgery procedures. She also provides treatment under conscious sedation within the practice. Anjali also holds a part time position at Glasgow Dental Hospital where she carries out more complex oral surgery procedures and is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Zenya Kandyba BDS (Hons) MFDS RCSED
Zenya qualified from Dundee University with Honours in 2003. She then gained her MFDS postgraduate qualification and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Zenya has been working in general practice as an associate for over 15 years and has been working at Tweedsmuir Dental Care for the last 10. Zenya enjoys getting to know her patients and aims to provide the highest quality dental care in a relaxed and professional manner.
Lorna McIntosh BDS, MFDS RCPSG
Lorna qualified from the University of Manchester in 2014 and furthered her postgraduate training by obtaining her MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2016. She has been working in Tweedsmuir since August 2015. As well as enjoying all aspects on general dentistry, Lorna also has an interest in adult orthodontics and is a member of the IAS Academy, through which she offers the Clear Smile Aligner at the practice. This is a clear, nearly invisible brace which can correct mild to moderate orthodontic problems in adult patients.
Nicola Yeaman BDS
Nicola qualified from Glasgow University in 1996. She completed vocational training in Thurso in 1997 after which she spent 5 years as an associate in Ayr. The following 7 years where spent working between practices in Govan and Knightswood before joining Tweedsmuir Dental Care in May 2010
Lynne qualified from Glasgow Dental Hospital 2004 and gained Dentsply award for clinical achievement 2004. She enjoys working with nervous patients, improving their dental experience and helping them gain confidence for future visits.
Lynsey qualified from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2004 and joined Tweedsmuir in 2008. She has an oral health promotion qualification and feels that preventing gum disease is as important as treating it. Lynsey’s favourite part of her job is seeing someone happy and confident at the end of their dental treatment.
Laura qualified from Reid Kerr College in 2010 with an SQA L3 in Dental Nursing & PDA in Dental Nursing. She began working with us in August 2008 furthering her training developments in conscious sedation and has since successfully passed the Extended Duties Dental Nurse Course within the Childsmile Oral Health Improvement Programme in 2016.
Lorna joined the practice in 2008 after a career change due to having a young family. She works only at reception and prides herself with the ability to remember so many of our patients’ names! Lorna enjoys the friendly, yet professional atmosphere at Tweedsmuir and is at the heart of the practice by seeing patients before and after their treatment.
Nicole Rose Burke
Nicole is our lead Implantology Nurse and began working at Tweedsmuir Dental Care since April 2008. She qualified from City & Guilds in 2010 gaining an NVQ L3 in Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 in Dental Nursing furthering her training in dental implant nursing & conscious sedation and assists Anjali during oral surgery procedures.
Kayley qualified from City & Guilds obtaining an NVQ L3 in Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 in Dental Nursing in 2012.She has been working within Tweedsmuir Dental Care for 8 years extending her training in conscious sedation and has recently been awarded in Emergency First Aid at work SCQF Level 6.
Kayleigh first qualified as a dental nurse in 2015 obtaining a National Diploma in dental nursing NEBDN and later completed the Yorkshire intravenous sedation course in 2016. She was first introduced to the practice in 2013 as part of her work training placement. Kayleigh has only just recently returned to our practice after travelling Australia for 1 year where she also worked as a dental nurse. Kayleigh hopes to continue her love of traveling and progress in her career within dental nursing.
