Porcelain Dental Crowns

Are you looking for a solution to fix a broken tooth and to blend in with your natural?

Porcelain Crowns are the superior alternative to standard crowns and an enhanced cosmetic improvement on natural teeth.

Replacing natural teeth with Porcelain Crowns will lighten your teeth and ensure a bright even smile. Porcelain is extremely versatile and is used to close gaps in teeth, repair fractured teeth and align crowding. Porcelain Crowns can also be used to repair a single damaged tooth and can be colour-matched to your own teeth to maintain a natural look.

Applying Veneers will typically consist of grinding down the tooth structure, even past the enamel, or sometimes removing some existing teeth to allow for proper placement. The dentist will then take an impression on your teeth to create a mold. Your mold will then be sent to the lab for your Veneer to be made. Once the Veneer is ready, your dentist can fit your Veneer and cement in place. Temporary Veneers may be used until the permanent Veneers come back from the lab.

If you are getting a Composite Resin Veneer your dentist will etch the surface of your tooth before applying a thin layer of composite material to the prepared tooth. Additional layers of the composite may be necessary to achieve your desired look.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Veneer?

A Veneer is a thin layer of restorative material that is bonded over a tooth to improve the aesthetic look of the tooth or protect a damaged tooth. Porcelain Veneers are used to make cosmetic changes to discoloured, misaligned, or chipped teeth.

What can Veneers be used for?

Veneers may be used to restore or correct the following:

  • Severely discoloured or stained teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Teeth that are too small or large
  • Minor tooth crowding
  • Uneven spacing in teeth
  • Worn or chipped teeth
How much tooth structure is removed to place the veneers on the tooth?

A thin layer, about 0.5 millimetres, is removed. The layer of tooth structure needs to be removed to make room for the porcelain. Also, grooves are made across the tooth to properly secure the veneer.

Do I have to get my other teeth whitened after getting Veneer treatment?

You do not have to get your other teeth whitened, as they might match with the veneers. However, if you have discoloured teeth, you can decide to have Teeth Whitening if you would like, but it’s not a requirement.

We will arrange a no-obligation consultation with you where we can have a friendly chat about the process and answer any questions that you may have.
